My name is Greg Preves. I was visiting my Daughter and grandkids. on the way home my Clutch cable broke,I was at exit 50 headed to Atlanta. I turned around and headed back to your Dealer. It was approx. 7:30am when I arrived ,ya'll were not opened yet so I waited. The first person I had contact with was a person from riders edge course.He let me wait in the service lot and told me that the dealer didn't open till 9am.,but also told me if i needed anything to let him know. The next person was Marie I believe she is your CFO,she made me feel like I was Family,offering Coffee and conversation while i waited, then there was an older gentlemen ,retired Army, he sat with me and we talked like we new eachother like old friends. Then your Service Writer was Excellent and understanding about my issue and wanting to get me home to Atlanta. I have been to many dealers on the East Coast to visit,but I would have to say that your Dealer is in my number one spot for Customer Service. I work for Atlanta Gas Light Company and I am a Firefighter for Walton County Fire Rescue. I also am a Member of the Iron Pig Motorcycle Club, a Police and Firefighter Saftey Club. I wanted to let you know that I have been thoroughly impressed with your establishment. From the layout, design, and cleanliness; to the people and customer skills that each possess. Although I didn't buy my bike from TTHD; I plan to be a regular customer and a HOG Chapter member. I had a great salesman in Rodney. Rodney has those people skills that are unique for a variety of people and fits well on your sales floor. The apparel aspect was handled by Jill with expertise and I never realized the depth you could go with simple clothing. The Riders Edge class was instructed beautifully by John Martel and followed up very nicely by Jonathon Alvey with the DMV. Don't under estimate Jonathon as he has a lot of potential. By the way; I would not let go of the aspect of the DMV certification after Riders Edge. That is it's biggest selling point.
You recently wrote in your newsletter the accomplishment of being open for three years. If I were you; I would start writing your next column for years five and ten and so on...

I just wanted to send out a big THANKYOU to all of your team there at Thunder Tower, especially the Service Dept. I own a 2003 Heritage Classic Softail. There was a small issue with a lean condition and the bike just wasn't running correctly. I brought it in and the service guys went t work trying to solve the issue. After several trips back and forth the service team came through and the problem was solved. My experience with Thunder Tower, although frustrating, was excellent. Phil and others working out front were always friendly and upbeat even when I might not have been. Your techs worked hard to find the problem and hats off to Johnathan for finally solving the puzzle. I look forward to a long and lasting relationship with the friendly folks of Thunder Tower HD for Service on my bike.

"out of all the harley dealership's I have been too in the US and all the place's I've been too during my time in serving my country I have never felt so comfortable like the service I experienced with Thunder Tower Harley SC. "Last year at a used Motorcycle dealer I traded my 1972 Sportster in on a 2006 Street Rod. It had just over 1000 miles on it.
The Heat shield recall and Service bulletin had not been done. The dealer received no service information from the previous owned . I wanted a slipper clutch and several other items I wanted as well.
I had signed up to take a Riders Edge M/C class at Thunder Tower, and while there I spoke with Sean about this.
He looked into it and when I mentioned that I had no way to bring it there and return with it, he brought Mike into the picture.
Mike was very nice and picked my Motorcycle up and brought it back after everything was done.
Ben called several times and rounded up the parts and took good care of making sure that everything was there so the work could be done.
I was told that Greg did the work and I know him from several years ago.
Overall it was a great job and it only took a couple of days from pick-up to back home.
Thunder Tower is not the nearest HD Dealer to me, there are two others and I visited them before the work was done.
I was impressed with their work and even met Mr. Gene and many others that I do not recall. Everyone is great.
From my first call about the Riders Edge class info and all the way to everything being completed there is a very nice person who always answers the telephone and hunts down everyone there and always is smiling and greets everyone.

Notes about the Riders Edge Class, I have been licensed and owned motorcycles since 1957, but had only went to one class back in the early 1970's.
The instructors were John Martel who commutes from NC and Jason Roberts, thanks guys.
The class was good and I enjoyed it and met some nice people as well, I wonder where they are and how they are doing now.
As a last note, I did not know how to post this and when Sean called to see if everything was performing as expected, he talked me into the website so I could leave this note.

"Thunder Tower really knows how to extend a helping hand with out harrasing customers with the annoying sayings that typical salesman say. The salesman and other workers of the store treat you like a friend of theres no questions asked. And information your looking for they can give you, or point you in the right direction. "The wife and I bought our dream bike today (12-16-09) from Thunder Tower Harley. A 2010 Ultra Classic with ABS, Lace wire wheels, security, etc, etc, etc... All the bells and whistles.
We shopped in Augusta first because we live in Aiken. That was a bad experience. I mean it got ugly... So off to Harley Haven where I bought my Road King in 2003. Great folks, but they didn't have the bike we were looking for this time.
First trip to Thunder Tower and found the bike we were looking for. Then we met Rodney Neighbors one of thier salesmen. Super nice guy. Very cool and calm without any high pressure sale garbage. Rodney later introduced us to Mark and Kelly the sales managers. Also super nice folks.. No pressure pitch from them either.. Just honest straight up wheeling and dealing. It didn't take long for us to agree on a price that was even better than I expected.. We bought our bike today and drove it home. We were treated with nothing but respect and kindness at Thunder Tower by everyone we met, from the General Manager on down.
It was well worth the drive and everyone likes to spend money with folks who appreciate it."

He worked with me for several days so that I could purchase a gift card for Christmas. He was professional and again went out of his way to accomplish this quickly as I live in Colorado.

"While at the October Ralley I was riding on the interstate when i realiszed very quickly i had a flat rear tire. I was able to get the bike off the road safely. Not familar with the area I called Thunder Tower HD since they were involved with the ralley. I was able to get through to the service department with no problem. They had someone there with in 30 min to get me. They also gave me a ride to the dealership. The service department had me back on the road within the next hour and a half. The customer service of this dealership is top notch. I was really impressed with how friendly and helpful the staff was. "

"It was a Sunday afternoon in November, my right turn signal was not working, I wanted to be safe and not have to being doing no handsignal just enjoy a nice Sunday afternoon ride, I went to Thunder towers ask Mike Turner the parts manager if he had a bulb for both the front and back were not working he thought it might be electrical and walked me back to the service department, which I thought "oh no I am going to spend a afternoon at the Harley shop getting my bike tore down for a electrical problem," back at the service dpt I met Sean Preston and he looked at the bike and pulled the bulb out and told me all it was going to be was a bulb replacement all that took was about 15 minutes and I was on my way again . Please give a extra thank you to Mike Turner and Sean Preston for helping me enjoy my Sunday afternoon ride throughly."

The instuctor, Terry Silas, loves to teach almost as much as he loves to ride. He patiently covered the material and added his insight and experience on the road for our benefit. "Stopped by on Sunday after bike week at Myrtle Beach in October because my right rear turn signal went out. Even though it was after service had closed , Sean Preston took the time to help me with my problem. He could not fix the problen then , so he set me up any appointment for the next day , after making sure they had the part in stock. The problem was fixed the next day. Sean could have easily have told me to come back the next day , but he did not. I think he went above and beyond on that day to mke sure my bike would be taken care of. Mybike came form Thunder Towers and my next bike will also. Everyone at Thunder Towers have always treated me like family. I am proud to be part of the Harley Davidson and Thunder Towers family.

"We came into TT after visiting another dealership and discussing a purchase. I was met by my salesperson Shaun aka Turbo. He was very helpful and ready to answer any questions I had. I showed their deal to Turbo (Shaun) and he said " Let me see if we can beat that." Instead of the usual multi trips to see the wizard behind the curtain as at other dealerships , Eric, the general manager came out to meet me and said, we're going to do a deal. He beat the other dealer by $1200. There was no back and forth , just an honest professional business deal. We did all this the space of an hour ! and ona saturday afternoon no less. I told Turbo I would go to my credit union for my financing and would call him Monday to let him know when I was enroute.
Monday morning I called and told him I had check in hand and was enroute (about an hour away) When I got there, the tour pack rack I requested was already installed, the bike cleaned and ready for my inspection and acceptance. I was introduyced to Tina in the business office who took care of all my needs quickly and pleasantly. Eric( general manager) and kelly (sales manager) kept checking on me to see if they could help or if I had any questions. While paperwork was finihing up, Turbo took me around and introduced me to members of the team in Motorclothes, parts and service. Turbo thoroughly went over everything on my bike and made sure I was comfortable with it. Then it was out front for a picture and I was off with my new red Hot Sunglo Smokey Gold Ultra Classic. What a wonderful ride home. I look forward to a great relationship with TT.
A word of advice to you.. If you want the run around and the wizardd behind the curtain, don't come to Thunder Tower HD. If you want a bike at a great price from folks who appreciate and earn your business. Come see Turbo and Eric adn Kelly and Aaron and Cassie and Damien and....all teh folks at TT. You might ride in on an old one as I did but Turbo will send you out on a new one without the hassle."

"You won't believe this....I called Charlie; the service manager, regarding a necessary upgrade. This was my third call to the third dealer on my list as I was price shopping. Forget price shopping...Charlie SAVED me $500.00 DOLLARS! American dollars.
That savings allowed me to install a new cam (after getting the scoop on which ones do what and Charlie's recommendation) that works for my riding style and have the appropriate map downloaded. I almost forgot to mention that Thunder Tower's service department also recommended Adjustable Pushrods that will save me BIG BUCKS down the road on any motor mods! Damion was there to explain how the work was progressing, explained what was being done and was great to work with. He was very careful to make sure all the paperwork was processed correctly and that the bill was the EXACT AMOUNT promised to me over the phone. When was the last time you got an amount over the phone AND it was the SAME amount you paid? Maybe 1969? Last, but certainly not least, was Jen. She was my first contact with the service department and blew me away. I've been riding since age 4 (42 years) and Jen knows more about "Preventive Upgrading" then I do. Her suggestions have saved lots of headache and money for me in the future. The really great thing is Jen isn't afraid to look something up in the book to be sure and also when needed (not needed often) to consult with Damion and Charlie. This young and pretty lady has the heart and mind of a true biker with more knowledge than most of us!
No I don't work for TTHD. I am writing this because it has been years since going to a dealer that you can count on and deal with. TTHD has totally amazed me with their competitive spirit. They will work to give you the lowest price and aren't afraid to negotiate with you. Their sales crew is the same way. Good old horse trading is alive and well at this Harley dealer.
Before I forget, Miss Betty has created a truely impressive line of motor clothes. I found great looking stuff and, unfortunately, so did my wife!!!! We both agreed that the styles were one of the best we have ever found. Guys, don't ask your wife/girlfriend to pick up ANYTHING for you at this dealer. I have the receipts to prove this unwise.
From one business owner to another...YOU ALL ROCK!!!!!!! Needless to say the ride to TTHD will be made very often as I have adopted them as my dealership.

"I have not bought a motorcycle from Thundertower as I live in the upstate but have stopped there on trips to the beach and have purchased clothing and bike accessories and have always found everyone extremely nice and professionial. One experience however stands out that I would like to share. I was going to the beach and towing my 2008 ultra-classic. This was the first time I had ever trailered it and I had tied it down but after leaving Easley, SC, I noticed it seem to be swaying more than I thought it should. I have a 2000 Hertiage Classic Springer and have never had a problem with it but this was the first time I had tried to strap the Ultra down. As we got close to Columbia, I made up my mind to pull into the dealership to seek advice. I went into the service department and the guy on duty, who I'm sorry to say, I can't remember his name, came out after I explained the problem and basically retied the bike for me and showed me what he was doing, even though the dealership was very busy that day. He asked if there was anything else he could do for me and I said no, but thanked him very much for his assistance. He said, no need to thank me, just glad we were able to help.
So, again, thanks for your great staff."

"Buying a motorcycle without ever being on one was a big risk, but Chris from sales did a wonderful job explaining the model and features - he took all the time I needed to feel comfortable and I must say, I made the right choice.
The Rider's Edge program was also fantastic, great guys running this program. It was the perfect training to be safe and learn how to handle the bike in a very short period of time - well worth the money! When the DMV pulled me randomly to redo the driving test, ThunderTower offered to bring the light weight Buell to the DMV in Lexington for me to take the test - really remarkable service!!!

"My wife and I visited TT looking at bikes as we had a few times before. This time we left with one. Jeremy our salesman was very knowledgeable and helpful throughout the process.He made sure we knew everything about the bike we purchased. Once we began the loan process we were assisted by Tinna. She did a great job explaining the process and the various forms. We had some issues on Sunday with our Insurance Carrier and Tinna went above and beyond to assist us. The lady that sold us our helmets, jackets and such was very knowlegeable, friendly and helpful.Sorry we forgot her name. She was excellent as well. My instructor Jonathan was very professional, patient, friendly and informative. It was easy to see he totally believes in his work. I am very impressed with the service I received after the course. I did not pass the DMV road test, but am able to go back to Thunder Tower, practice on their Buell, and they will take thier Buell to the Camden DMV for me to take my test on , there at Camden. "Recently, my Fiance and I purchased two 2009 Sportster’s from you. She bought the 883 Custom, and I purchased the 1200 Custom.
These are first bikes for each of us, and I have to say - The personnel at Thunder Tower made this one of the best purchasing experiences of our lives.
From the time I called to arrange an appointment, to the time we left with the bikes, no detail was over looked to ensure we had a fantastic Harley experience.
Sam, Gene, Chris (both of them), Tony - the whole team was incredible.
As for the Sales staff -
I have been in the sales business for 12 years - the majority of it with luxury automobiles. I can honestly say that "Big Chris" is one of the best natural salespeople I have ever had the pleasure of working with.
He took all the time we needed in order to help us feel comfortable. He went the extra mile to talk with us and question us - all in the name of helping us to figure out which of the many Harley motorcycles would be the best fit for us.
In the end, "Big Chris" guided us in the direction of the Sportster, and I have to say he was right on the money.
Now we are not only Harley Davidson customer’s for life, We will ALWAYS look to Thunder Tower for our every HOG need.

"I would like to take a moment to commend your staff, more specifically your service manager, Charles A Cuchman. My motorcycle broke down on August 31st and I had it towed to your dealership. We were frantic because Monday was a holiday and we were afraid you would be closed because our dealership here in West Palm Beach would have been. However, to our pleasure it was open. Charles took our motorcycle in immediately and within the hour told us that a cam bearing might have broken apart. I went to our hotel, checked out and got a ride back to your dealership. I then proceeded into the service department and requested them to call a taxi to take me to the nearest U-Haul location. Charles went above and beyond the call of duty by asking his employee to take me to the U-Haul. When I returned I was even further shocked when he had several of his employees load my ultra classic into the U-Haul then tethered the bike in place. He told us not to worry about the tethers as they were extras! Could we believe our luck in finding a dealership with a heart?
Upon our arrival back here to the West Palm Beach dealership, we were even more appreciative of your dealerships hospitality when our dealership had me and my wife unload the bike by ourselves as the single employee worked the lift. It made us want to move immediately to your location; a place where people care.

"My wife, Helen, and I would like to thank Gene and his staff for their hospitality while we visited their immaculate dealership. We were just passing through while on our honeymoon trip from Virginia to Florida and back as we were also visiting my "new" step-daughter and her husband in Columbia. We love checking out dealerships abroad during our travels and Gene and all made us feel right at home. Being newly married, we did have one scheduled destination to help fullfill while riding on our honeymoon. A dear friend and fellow rider in FLA asked me to assist his wife in scattering his ashes upon his passing. In June of this year, he rode to the great highway in the sky and we did what he asked, to be scattered along a favorite road by his wife on the back on a Harley. My new wife didn't give this a second thought and we proceeded through TS FAY and back for this wish. So on with our journey we went and was so greatful for Gene and the staff for extending a warm welcome and new dealership away from home. "I first went to TTHD in April of this year and bought a 2008 Ultra Classic. This is my very first bike I've ever owned. I was assisted by Sam Newsome and then he introduced me to Dave Shannon who would become my salesman. After a rocky start and purchase I drove my new bike out the door. Since I had not been on a bike in over 34 years I was scared to death. Dave done everything he could think of to assure me it was going to be ok. I rode around in their parking lot for 2 solid hours trying to get used to the bike. About every half hour, I'd see Dave out there checking on me to see if all was well. In the grand scheme of things, this meant a whole lot to me that this guy would care enough to check on me. I will never forget that day. I left the dealership on my bike and began my new found experience of riding. Everytime I would go into the dealership, Dave would always ask how I was doing and how my family was doing. He would always take time out of his schedule to talk talk with me about the bike and if there were any problems. I really appreciated this.
Four months later around the first of August, I crashed my bike. Luckily I was not hurt except for my pride. I took my bike to TTHD to get repaired. Well, things did not go real well with the Service Department pertaining to the estimate of repairs. I felt like I was getting the run around. I spoke with Dave and he said that he would check into it for me. This was on Thursday. On friday, I received a call from Gene Preston. I explained to him what was going on and he said that he would check into it and get back with me the following Monday or Tuesday. On Sunday afternoon, I receive a call from Dave say that TTHD was offering me a deal that I could not refuse and that I needed to come and talk to them. When all was said and done,it was going to take 2-3 months to get my bike back and they offered me a new bike to replace mine. We done a trade and it all worked out great. They said they did not want me to be without a bike for that long. I was not expecting anything like this. Now I'm on a new bike and riding again thank to all the staff at TTHD. This experience has given me a whole new outlook on TTHD. They are just a great bunch of people. I want to give a very special thanks to Gene Preston for all he done in this matter. I also want to give a big thanks to Tina Armstrong and Sam Newsome for their involvement as well. However, I feel that all the credit should go to Dave Shannon. Dave is a super salseman and he has become a very good friend.
I will definately recommend TTHD to anyone I know who is looking for a bike.
My overall experience with the dealership is definately a 5. I really would like for everyone to know that you guys are "TOP NOTCH" over there, and that your main goal is to make sure the customer is totally happy.
Again, please give my thanks to everyone that was involved in my "ordeal".

"I was a metric bike rider who wanted to make the move to Harley. When I heard about Thunder Tower, after being new to the Columbia area, I stopped by out of curiosity. I met with Dave Shannon who was a pleasure to deal with. I knew I was upside down on what I owed on my VStar, but like I said, was curious and wanted make the move away from metric. As it turned out, we weren’t able to come to an agreement and I left the dealership. I had no hard feelings toward anyone at Thunder Tower whatsoever. Later that afternoon, I received a message with Dave who advised me that Sam Newsome would be handling my file personally and encouraged me to meet with him. Now, my first thought, this is typical BS. I went back the next day and was introduced to Sam and I must say I was glad I returned. Sam did what he could to give me a great deal. There was no nonsense. He was honest with me and I appreciate that. It wasn’t long until I was taking home my first Harley without a bit of buyer’s remorse. Oh and not to mention to meet the owner of the dealership? Are you kidding me???!!! How often does that happen?? What a pleasure it was to meet Gene. But, the story doesn’t end there. Just two days after owning my new Electra Glide Classic, my key FOB fell off my bike and couldn’t be located. I immediately paid a visit to Thunder Tower and met with Billy, Mo, and Charlie. Knowing that I was concerned about the security of my new bike, those guys jumped into action. My bike was taken into the service area and re-formatted with a new FOB. I was never told to come back later, we can’t fit you in. Since then, I’ve frequented the Tower to buy accessories and whatnot and have been treated like a friend. Thank you for contacting me, I had no idea anyone would ever read this stuff, much less respond. I've owned many Harleys for many years including AMF Harleys, I learned to avoid the service departments. I had no idea a simple repair could take two and a half weeks, and make an appointment, wait two weeks, and an additional four days to do it right. I refuse to complain about the deep scratches in the oil tank, scars give it character. I was hopeful the Service Departments had improved over the years as your motorcycle quality certainly did! Being covered by the extended warrenty, I didn't hesitate to think of Thunder Tower for service. I rarely take anything to a dealer for service so I don't know, but is six weeks from start to finish for a simple repair considered good service now days?
I don't want anything. I am embaressed for having complained, but mostly happy to have my Harley home. I write this only as my customer experience. I buy stuff at Thunder Tower from time to time and plan on buying an Electra Glide there this fall. Thank you for listening. I'm glad your dealership is here!

"I have a 2006 Fatboy that had a problem with the fuel injectors. There was a HD service bulletin written about the issue, and my bike was covered by it. After only a little argument with your service manager, your service dept changed my old injectors for the updated units in no time at all and did a great job, too! Thank you!"

"well, i think you need to change your name to Thunder Tower of Angels after saving me and my bike last Friday!
Riding down from Virginia to Key West on a tour of Route 1, i laid down my '96 Heritage Softail on a tight little U-turn just outside Columbia. No big deal. But when i pulled the dumb-butt stunt of trying to stand it up by myself...
The bike, of course, was fine.
Me? well, a cracked vertebra and a mess of pretty-well torn lower back muscles was what i got for stupidity.
when they got me to the hospital the first call i made -- flat on my back in the emergency room --was to Thunder Tower (don't tell my wife she came in second).
i explained to Jamie Branham that the bike, T-bag & cooler were sitting alone on Clemson Road and asked her if y'all could help me out.
"Not a problem, Joe. we'll get someone right out there," Jamie told me.
sure enough, within a half hour, Jason Padgett had taken the TT trailer to rescue the Motor. Jason not only secured everything, but he took the trouble to stop by the hospital to check & see how i was doing & to let me know everything was OK.
That night, after he got off work, Jason took the time to bring all my gear to the hospital & make sure i was going to be OK.
Charlie Cushman and Steve Edmonds went out of their way to make sure The Beast was safe while the docs operated on my back on Saturday, and Jason checked in on me every day until i got out of the hospital and on a plane back to Virginia on Monday!
The End? nope.
Jason called me yesterday to make sure i got home alright and then told me that Thunder Tower is letting him use the trailer so he can bring my bike back to me this Friday...ON HIS DAY OFF!
Now folks, you can ride this country from Mexico to Canada and Atlantic to Pacific (and I have) but i'll guarantee that you will bar-none NEVER find better people than the friends at Thunder Tower who truly take care of us.
as i was laying in the road last Friday waiting on the EMTs i kept wondering why all my bad luck had come about on a day numbered "7-11".
well, now i know how good luck REALLY happens. i wasn't in bad luck at all. in fact, my luck was just gittin better...thanks to the Good Lord who sent me Jason and Jamie & Charlie and Steve and the docs & nurses who got me back on my feet.
To every one of you at Thunder Tower, God Bless You!
In another couple of months, the broken back and bruised muscles will be healed & forgotten (and next year Route 1 will still be there for riding), but as long as i live & ride there'll be no end to the memories of my friends in Columbia, South Carolina and how grateful i am for your friendship.
Y'all keep em rollin & i'll take the U-turns a little more carefully!

"After today, I guess it's about time I submitted a testimonial. My H-D helmet had a missing screw on the visor, came loose on a ride a few days ago. I came in looking for a replacement screw for the visor. Mr. Preston was at the Motorclothes section and helped me. He ended up simply giving me a new helmet to replace the one I had for about a year! Now that is what I call customer service above and beyond the call of duty!
I purchased my '07 Deluxe from the gang in Dec. '06. Other than the fact H-D is known for quality, which is why I purchased mine, Sam, Lee, Hector and the gang made me feel like family right from the get-go. I did not find this always to be true with folks at other Harley Dealerships. Since then, I come in on a regular basis to make a purchase, or just to simply say "Hi". Even though I've already made the "big purchase", I'm still treated like family there and have a sense of belonging.
Give 'em a shot. You won't regret it.

"I recently had a tire replaced and when I returned to pick up my bike, I was immediatly notified that my wheel had been accidently damaged during the tire replacement. They also said they would replace my wheel at no cost and gave me a discount on the installation of the tire. I understand accidents happen and really appreciate the service department being so honest and up front about the situation. "Yes,a great dealer ship if you are buying new stuff.I rode my 1976 Shovel head in last summer to have a transmission seal replaced & was turned away because they said it was too old!! Next time you guys walk in thier dealership just look around at all the old pictures they have on display hanging on the walls. Proud to show all the old pictures but when a real biker rides in on one they turn thier noses up & tell you not to park here for it is marking it's spot(not leaking).Sure they have great Techs but no Machancies=don't know what a kicker is.Low Country HD is the only dealership in SC that knows who put Harley Davidson where they are today-the old riders who stuck behind them in thick & thin when they couldn't give their bikes away.I own a 1971 Iron head Sportster ridged frame,a 1975 Superglide,a 1977 FXS Lowrider, a 1991 Ultra Classic,a 2004 Ultra Classic & a 2007 1200R all where bought right here in Columbia,SC from Kirby's HD better known now as Harley Haven. Yes I had to go to a dealership to buy them but over the years I have learned to do my own repairs. It is bad to know that a dealership can charge up to $90.00 a hour to trouble shoot a problem on a new motor but turn away an older motor. At $90.00 an hour I'll work on anything!!!! "We were so excited when we heard from a friend that a dealership was coming so close to our home. We would ride by once a week to see the progress.
Gene, my family and I would like to say that we are glad that you and your family came here. Each of you is running a top notch dealership. Your Service Dept. is great. They stayed late one day waiting for us to arrive with the bike and they had it going early the next morning.
Your Parts Dept. was on the ball when I didn't know what that "thing" was called and I described it to them. They didn't make me feel bad because I didn't know what it was called. They got the book and pointed it out in just a matter of seconds. They do know their stuff!
Your cashiers have always been extremely helpful when I just couldn't make up my mind and not once have they acted as though they were too busy to give their opinion.
We haven't purchased a bike from you, yet. But I know we will in the future and I am sure your Sales Dept. is as top notch as everyone else there. So we are looking forward to the experience.

"I would like to thank Phillip Truesdale for his great customer service. The Service Department has renewed my faith in Harley-Davidson Dealerships. I only hope that other H-D Dealerships take note and follow Tower Harley-Davidson's leed. I had taken my 97 Fatboy in for some minor servicing and to fix a small oil drip from my Primary Cover. I had to return on Saturday because the primary was still leeking. Tower Harley took my bike straight back to the Techs without delay and apologized for my inconvenience. On Monday morning I received a call from the General Manager following up on an e-mail I had sent complaining about the phone system at the Dealership. The action from the service department and the follow up call from the GM secured a loyal local customer.

"Bought my RK Classic in November. Since then I have broken down (very minor problem) and wrecked (not so minor problem). Through it all I have been treated like a valued and appreciated customer. "I recently was refered to your dealership while enroute to Myrtle Beach. I called ahead to Myrtle Beach HD and their Service Department was back logged, and they referred me to Thunder Tower. I called ahead and you said come on by and we will get you right in! Once there, I was welcomed and received quick, excellent service, and was sent on the way to continue my trip. I was set up with a follow up appointment on Monday morning. I had speedometer problems which when diagnosed by your service department turned out to be a bearing that had gone out in my transmission. I was kept up-to-date and all repairs were made in a timely manner. I stopped in and picked up my bike on the way back through and not only was it repaired but was CLEANED and returned READY TO ROLL! Thank You for taking the time, working me in and for the EXCELLENT SERVICE and above all OUTSTANDING CUSTOMER SERVICE. Thank You Phil Truesdale for your patience with me. "

"Just bought an '04 Deuce at TTHD. What a great time my wife and I had! This was on a Sunday and very busy but Chuck, Tom and the others were very patient. I had an '86 Sportster and sold it about 5 years ago. I have been itching to get back in the seat ever since. I knew TTHD was the dealership I was going to buy from. I had been there several times in the last few months and have always been treated well. Went on my first dinner ride with them this past Thursday to Sandhills and had a fun time both on the ride and at dinner. Can't wait for the HOG Chapter to start. I'll be there to signup.

"Like most people, I shopped several H-D dealerships for a Pre-Owned bike, both in Columbia and a few around Charlotte. I found the bike I wanted here and felt extremely comfortable with the sales staff.(Chuck and Sam).
The real story though is TTHD's Service Dept. I had a mechanical problem,(my fault) on the road home late in the afternoon. I made my way to TTHD where they immediately took my Road King in and began the work. Harvey, Cris and Jeremy worked diligently, even overtime, to get me home that night. I imagine other shops would have left me without a ride, but these guys were NOT letting me walk home.
Customer Service is the one tool anyone has to put themselves in front of their competition, Thunder Tower and their Service Department is leading the ride.
Thank you Guys, you have made a great place to do business.
